The CSCS Trainee Card is for individuals enrolled on a recognised construction qualification, such as an NVQ/SVQ, HNC, HND, or Degree that leads to a skilled CSCS card. The five-year Trainee Card is issued to those actively working towards an approved competence-based qualification, which must be completed before the card expires. A renewable two-year Trainee Card is available to those who have achieved a relevant Level 2 (or higher) qualification within the last 5 years.
